Game Day Appetizer FAQs

How do you make air fryer chicken wings crispy?

The secret to making crispy air fryer chicken wings is to coat them in a light layer of arrowroot starch flour. You only need a little bit – about 2 tablespoons per 3 pounds of wings. Simply dredge the wings in the flour prior to air frying. If you can’t find arrowroot, you can also use cornstarch or potato starch.

How do you prevent sheet pan nachos from getting soggy?

A good way to keep the chips in sheet pan nachos from getting soggy is to prebake them. Simply bake the tortilla chips on their own for a few minutes while you prep the other ingredients. That way, they’ll crisp up more so they can better handle any moisture from the toppings.

You can also bake them with a layer of cheese to create another layer of protection betwwen the chips and the toppings.

How do I keep samosa fillings from being too wet?

Cook the filling ingredients, like potatoes and other vegetables, thoroughly and let them cool completely before assembling the samosas. This helps avoid soggy pastry.

How do you prevent deviled eggs from being runny?

Be sure to cool the egg yolks to room temperature before mixing them in with the other ingredients. If the yolks are too warm, the filling may not firm up enough and could end up being too loose.

Can you cook frozen ravioli in an air fryer?

Yes, you can absolutely use frozen ravioli in the air fryer. You just need to take them out of the refrigerator when you start prepping so they have a few minutes to thaw before cooking. But they don’t need to be completely thawed before you air fry them.
