These Honey Bourbon Wings are baked sticky chicken wings with a delicious sweet sauce. Perfect for any weeknight dinner, tailgating parties, and holiday parties!

Well, hello, FRIDAY! WOW - what a week it has been.
Every single part of my life is at maximum speed right now: work, other work, my online shop is hopping with Teacher Appreciation orders, massive amounts of awesome fun blog work, kid stuff, volunteer work, and travel planning for the rest of the year (see you soon Idaho, Montana, Hawaii, and various Washington Wine Country spots!).
Has your week been just as crazy? This is one weekend I am definitely looking forward to!
Weeks like this can only be met with one meal: sticky chicken wings.

Now, I LOVE wings. Do you, too?
Baked or grilled, sweet or spicy... wings always manage to make almost any meal a party. And this week deserves some celebration, friends.
Today I'm sharing my recipe for Honey Bourbon Wings.
Honey bourbon is the magic combo that just keeps on giving. I love to honey bourbon ALL THE THINGS. Everything from Honey Bourbon Chocolate Truffles to Slow Cooker Honey Bourbon Meatballs. You bet I have some honey bourbon cocktails planned for the summer, too (cheers!).
Honey Bourbon Wings

These baked chicken wings are slightly sweet and more on the sticky side, versus the dripping-with-sauce, spicy Buffalo wings type of chicken wings.
I really love that these honey bourbon chicken wings are baked. Baking wings gives them that beautiful, yummy sticky skin while retaining super tender meat that's packed with flavors.
These wings can be served as a party appetizer, and would be great for any tailgating party or holiday soiree. These can also be paired with a salad and/or some rice to make a delectable meal any night of the week.

Honey + Bourbon + Wings = the ultimate head-into-the-weekend BLISS.
Eat up, and enjoy the weekend ahead!

I used the recipe with chicken breasts. I doubled the recipe, however I had to make it without molasses. (They don’t carry it in my local grocery store.)
Turned out really good!

Wow this looks absolutely delicious and love the photos! I am very interested in trying this favor, thanks for sharing!
Miss Marcy says
Sounds and looks delicious! Cannot wait to try these. Just 1 comment /question, have been always told to boil leftover marinades due to blood etc from marinating. I noticed your recipe uses marinade to brush on while cooking.
I will boil mine for a few minutes first.
Marlynn Jayme Schotland says
It's never been a problem for us with this recipe since the meat cooks longer after the last time we brush on some marinade, but thanks for sharing, Marcy! If anyone is concerned about that, boiling the marinade is certainly a good option. :) Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
Erin says
That sounds real good. I am not a huge wings fan but that marinade sounds delicious. It is getting pinned (along with that meatball recipe)! Hope you were able to get some relaxing in this weekend - sounds like you might have needed it!

Wow! These look good, but you distracted me with the mention of your chocolate truffles so I had to go pin that recipe before reading further. YUM!
Marlynn Jayme Schotland says
LOL - the honey bourbon truffles are pretty darn tasty, I must say ;) Thanks, Monica!

Um, so much yum! I want to eat my screen. Though I would never serve it with salad - rice to make sure no sauce goes to waste!

I am so excited about these wings. I recently ordered some bourbon wings at the local sports bar and was totally disappointed, They were awful. You couldn't taste the bourbon at all. I can't wait to try these!
Marlynn Jayme Schotland says
Oh that's so sad, Jennifer. Great thing about making wings at home -- you can always add more bourbon! Cheers! :)
