❓Recipe FAQs

What other fruits can I put in this smoothie?

With smoothies, the possibilities are endless! This strawberry watermelon smoothie also tastes delicious with added mango or raspberry.

Should I thaw frozen fruit before making my smoothie?

No need to thaw frozen fruit completely, as the icy quality adds to the smoothie. But you can take the frozen fruit out of the freezer and let it sit on the counter at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes before blending. This helps the fruit blend more smoothly.

How do I make this a slushie?

You can eliminate the yogurt and add ice to make this a strawberry watermelon slushie instead of a smoothie. It’s just as delicious!

For as many smoothies as we make, I probably should invest in some sort of industrial juicer or fancy blender :) We just use a basic ol’ blender. Enjoy all of the delicious watermelon available this summer!
