What’s the difference between Cajun and Creole cuisine?

In general, Cajun cooking is more rustic, comforting, home cooking-style food. And Creole cooking tends to be more sophisticated “city” style cooking, with influences from other countries such as Africa, Spain, Germany, and Italy, combined with local ingredients.

Is Cajun seasoning spicy?

It can be, but it doesn’t have to be! One of the best things about making your own Cajun seasoning from scratch is that you can control how much heat is in it.

What’s the best way to store homemade Cajun seasoning?

Store your homemade Cajun seasoning in a mason jar or other airtight glass container in a cool, dark, dry place, such as a pantry or spice drawer.

What is the difference between Cajun and Creole seasoning?

The main difference is that Creole seasoning contains more herbs and Cajun seasoning has more of an emphasis on the ground black pepper, paprika and often includes white pepper (ours does not).
