Since we're busy working up a storm (really, several storms. we're busy over here - YAY!), I thought I would post some pics of the fun decorations, invitations and favors I made for my son's 6th birthday party.
He's six, so of course, he is a HUGE Lego Star Wars fan. The kid only seen ONE Star Wars movie (Clone Wars) once, and he's totally in love. It was a great time and he had a lot of creative input on everything you see here. He was the ideal client! :) These were a BLAST to make!
Each child got to choose to take home either a Light Side of the Force favor bag or a Dark Side of the Force favor bag. I made the stickers, favor bag labels and printed out some blank Star Wars coloring sheets, and included crayons in the shapes of Legos and Star Wars characers {see captions above for stores}.
My son had the most fun helping me make these light sabers, which are just foam water noodles cut in half and wrapped with alternating reflective duct tape and black duct tape.
My kids have yet to touch real soda, so for my son's 6th birthday party, we made the Yoda Soda from lime sherbet ice cream, lime juice, and tangerine lime sparkling water. YUM!
There's a cookbook out that offers a recipe for Wookiee Cookies that's really just chocolate chip cookies, so we decided to make star-shaped chocolate shortbread cookies the color of Chewbacca :)
Each child received a Jedi Training Completion Certificate {made super fast by me & printed at home} after completing a game a Pin-The-Light-Saber-On-The-Light-Saber.
I found some decent images of Star Wars characters that were a high enough resolution to print out onto 100# cardstock on my laser printer, cut them out, punched holes on the sides and tied together with string.
The Obi-WanTons? A HUGE hit!
And we had a ton more Lego Star Wars party ideas come to life. These included: Bow-Tie Fighter Pasta {farfalle salmon pasta salad}, Leia & Luke's Lumpia {a Filipino egg roll}, Darth Malt {malt shakes!}, Jabba Java {coffee for the adults!}, Boba Fett Brie and more. I also printed out a large Star Wars wall poster that matched the invitations and party cup stickers, and we played Pin-The-Light-Saber-On-A-Light-Saber. The kids each got a sticker for a turn, and the one who landed on the most light sabers won a packet of stickers.

Sorry for the belated reply, folks. I finally imported my old BlissOff.com posts onto this new site! Hope you'll all continue to visit here! :)
Gloria- that's the exact reason I made the softer, pool noodle light sabers: less tears all around! :)
Sammy - hope your Halloween was fun!
Gracesol - I designed the stickers in Photoshop and printed them out onto sticker paper. I get a lot of my sticker paper through http://www.OnlineLabels.com. They have a TON of different shapes & sizes for labels, plus full size labels if you want to cut them out on your own.

Thanks for sharing your ideas and pictures. My son is a huge Star Wars fan and I'm planning a 10th Jedi Training party for him. I love how you made the lightsabers. I think that is a great idea as I don't want 10 year old boys running around hitting each other with hard plastic ones. Thanks again!

I'm a big fan of "naming" food for my son's parties and I loved the Obi-wan-tons...cracked me up and the wookie cookies. You're ideas are so cute I'm considering convincing my son to have a lego star wars birthday next year! ;)

Thanks Kimberly & Jenny! I used Adobe Illustrator to design them, but don't sell this theme online at the moment. Good luck to you both with your sons' parties!

Thanks, Amy! We all had a blast and more importantly, my son did :) A Mary Poppins-themed party! HOW FUN! It was a very popular day for birthday parties indeed.

Looks like a fun party-nice job! I love how you carried the theme all the way through to the food. I threw my four year old a Mary Poppins-themed party that very same day.
