This Lobster Ravioli Sauce is a restaurant quality dish that's easy to make in 30 minutes. Perfect for a date night in, or for a fast weeknight dinner.
When you think of a fancy, luxurious, elegant meal, what comes to mind?
I'm betting that, along with a fancy steak dinner, a fancy lobster dinner is at the top of mind for most people.
Lobster is a delicious way to add elegance to almost any dish. I love making Lobster Pasta and Air Fryer Lobster Tails at home.
Cooking with lobster at home is always so much less expensive than ordering a lobster dish at a fine dining restaurant. And if you've never cooked with lobster before, it's a lot easier than you might think!
This Lobster Ravioili Sauce recipe is one of the easiest recipes you'll find. Store-bought lobster ravioli is coated with the best sauce. It tastes like a million bucks, but is pretty cheap to make. Most importantly, it tastes just as luxurious, decadent, and fancy as any fine dining restaurant meal!

🌟 Why you'll love this recipe
This easy Lobster Ravioli Sauce recipe is truly one of my favorite dishes to make at home when I want something elevated but still simple, fast, and delicious.
- Inexpensive - A local restaurant charges $38 for a single serving of lobster ravioli. When you make lobster ravioli sauce at home, it costs around $7-8 per serving. That's a huge cost savings!!
- Insanely delicious - This lobster ravioli sauce is absolutely delicious and honestly better than any similar dish I've eaten at any Italian restaurant. And believe me, I've eaten a LOT of lobster ravioli at many restaurants! The creamy sauce is rich and velvety, making it a great cross between the ultimate comfort food and the ultimate fine dining experience at home.
- Easy - This lobster ravioli sauce recipe is super easy to follow. I've got step-by-step photos below to make the cooking process even easier.

🦞 Ingredient notes
Ravioli - You can make your own homemade lobster ravioli, but this recipe calls for fresh store-bought ravioli filled with lobster. It's fairly easy to find lobster-stuffed pasta packages in the fresh pasta section at most grocery stores within the US these days. I like to buy the lobster ravioli at Costco. It comes in two 13-ounce packages, currently for just $15. I got mine on sale recently for $12. That's $6 per meal!
Trader Joe's lobster ravioli is also delicious, although it usually comes in slightly smaller packages.
Lobster - You can use chopped lobster meat that you cooked from a lobster tail (our Air Fryer Lobster Tail recipe is a favorite in our house). Or, you can use lobster meat purchased from your local grocery store. If you are using frozen lobster meat, be sure to thaw it out overnight in the refrigerator before using in this recipe.
Garlic and shallots - Fresh minced garlic and finely diced shallots are the flavor foundation for this delicious lobster ravioli sauce. You can substitute yellow onion for the shallot, although I much prefer the subtle flavor that shallots bring to this dish.
Fresh herbs, spices, seasonings - You can use fresh or dried basil and dill, along with Old Bay Seasoning and ground paprika. There is paprika in Old Bay Seasoning, but I find that adding a little more paprika helps add depth of flavor to the sauce and gives it a richer color.
Cream, oil, wine, butter, cheese - Rounding out the cream sauce for this lobster ravioli recipe is heavy cream, white wine, olive oil, butter, and grated parmesan cheese. You can substitute chicken stock for the wine if you prefer to cook without alcohol.
Garnish with chopped parsley, fresh chives, lemon wedges or lemon zest, and/or thinly sliced fresh basil. Squeeze a little lemon juice just before serving for a hit of bright zing!
Make it dairy free
I often make this dairy-free by substituting my favorite dairy-free heavy cream, vegan butter, and dairy-free grated parmesan.

- Add half of the basil and all of the dill; stir.
5. Slowly pour in the dry white wine and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring regularly.
6. Slowly pour in the heavy cream and stir together. Then add half of the grated parmesan, stir and cook until the parmesan is melted into the sauce.

🍽 Serving suggestions
This lobster ravioli sauce is delicious served with a fresh salad or some crusty bread.
Try serving it with Garlic Rosemary Focaccia, Garlic Parmesan Knots, Air Fryer Garlic Bread, or Homemade French Bread.
Any of those bread recipes are fantastic with this dish! Perfect for soaking up all of that rich pasta sauce!
🍷 🥂 Wine pairings
The velvety, rich, creamy sauce calls for a wine that can cut through some of that richness. A perfect pairing would be a Sauvignon Blanc, which is a great wine for almost any seafood dish. You can also pair it with a Pinot Grigio.
