👩🏻‍🍳 Recipe FAQs

bowl of charred corn salad with glass of bourbon lemonade.
What’s the best type of bourbon to use in bourbon lemonade?

Look for a mid-range bourbon that’s smooth with hints of vanilla, caramel, or spice. I usually use Bulleit, but Maker’s Mark and Woodford Reserve also work well without overpowering the citrus.

Can I make bourbon lemonade in a large batch for a party?

Yes! Bourbon lemonade is great for batching. Multiply the ingredients and mix in a large pitcher or drink dispenser. Just add ice right before serving to keep it cold without diluting the flavor.

🍽 Serving ideas

charred corn salad, tandoori chicken skewers, bourbon lemonade.

While I adore this summer sipper on its own, it’s also an amazing cocktail to serve with food. Think picnic lunches, dinners al fresco, and barbecues with this cocktail on repeat.

It’s delicious with tandoori chicken skewers and charred corn salad (both pictured above).

Or double down on bourbon flavors and enjoy it with peach bourbon grilled chicken or slow cooker honey bourbon meatballs.
