Where to Stay in Santa Rosa, CA: Vintners Inn

The Vintners Inn is a romantic, four-diamond luxury hotel filled with quiet charm and serenity. It's the ideal getaway for a special Sonoma wine country weekend.

Vintners Inn in Healdsburg, California is a romantic hotel perfect for your Sonoma Wine Country weekend. Details on UrbanBlissLife.com

Sonoma County, California is a fabulous place for a wine weekend getaway. I've loved my travels to Sonoma and Healdsburg, and recently enjoyed a stay at the Vintners Inn, an idyllic resting spot in Santa Rosa as part of the Rodney Strong Master Blender press trip.

At the Vintners Inn in Santa Rosa, California, you can feel as if you are thousands of miles away from your troubles and the noise of the world, but still be within quick driving distance from some fabulous wineries and restaurants.Outside of Vintners Inn in California

Set on 92 acres of vineyard property owned by Don and Rhonda Carano, of the Ferrari-Carano label, the Vintners Inn is a four-diamond luxury hotel. It offers travelers breathing room to roam about lush gardens, past peaceful fountains, and a 2-mile trail through vineyards. The property is beautifully manicured and well designed for relaxation.

The main building houses a comfortable lobby that calls for you to rest you weary feet in plush armchairs to chat with friends, or lounge by the fire with a good book.

Vintners Inn Cafe Santa Rosa, California

The main building also houses the Vintners Cafe, where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast on our last day in Sonoma County. On our first night, we dined at the adjacent John Ash restaurant, which is an amazing place to dine for a nice night out after a day full of wine tasting.

    Accommodations

I stayed in a spacious, elegant King Deluxe room, which ranges between approximately $395 and $425 per night, depending on the season, and weeknight versus weekend rates.

Each King Deluxe room includes an extremely comfortable, plush California king-sized bed with featherbed and down bedding, a spacious seating area, flat screen television, mini fridge (which is a must when you're visiting for a wine country getaway!), and oversized soaking bathtub/shower combination. Some rooms also include a fireplace for a small additional cost.

You should know that there are no in-room coffee makers in the deluxe rooms (I searched my room for a good 10 minutes before I came to this realization), but there is coffee and tea available in the common space in each building.

A half bottle of wine is included in the room rate, which you can enjoy on your private patio or balcony.

My room had French doors which opened up to this romantic private outdoor space.

I wish I could have extended by stay by even one more day. I could feel my soul exhale each time I stepped out onto the patio and gazed out at the vineyard.

Each room is full of light and vineyard or courtyard views. The photo above is the view right outside one of the windows in my room. Vintners Inn Healdsburg, California

And the sunrises and sunsets? Breathtaking.

With such a stunning setting, it's no wonder the Vintners Inn is also host to several weddings, special events, and business meetings and conferences throughout the year. You can choose from several different indoor and outdoor entertaining space options, and they offer on-site and off-site catering.

    Why stay here?

If you are looking for a truly special vineyard experience in Sonoma County, California, I highly recommend looking into the Vintners Inn. Price-wise, it's relatively on par with hotel rooms in Napa and luxury suites in Sonoma and Healdsburg, but you get so much more space and luxury amenities for your money when you stay at the Vintners Inn. This is where I would go for a romantic weekend away with my husband, for a fun girls' weekend in wine country, or if I were looking to hold a vineyard event in the area.

Many thanks to the incredible team at Rodney Strong Vineyards for providing this complimentary stay and to the wonderful staff at the Vintners Inn for their hospitality. Looks like an awesome getaway. I have yet to visit Sonoma but pinned this so I can remember the location in the future. Maybe I'll win the contest and get to visit even sooner ??

So quaint and charming! I like the traditional feel. I am moving to California this summer, so looking forward to exploring 'wine country'...and accommodations... in the area. :)
