The right sauce can transform any dish!

I’m definitely a sauce/dip gal. Veggies with dairy-free ranch dressing, and chicken tenders dipped in vegan buffalo sauce? Yes, please!

But one of my favorite condiments that goes with pretty much anything (in my opinion!), is this homemade version of honey mustard sauce. And this tasty sauce is so easy to make from scratch!

This homemade honey mustard recipe is a tangy dijon mustard based sauce with hints of sweet honey and a subtle addition of paprika. I like to make a double batch during meal prep day, and keep mason jars of this delicious sauce in the refrigerator to enjoy all week long!

🛒 Ingredient notes

bowls of six ingredients to make honey mustard dipping sauce.
  • Honey – Use your favorite honey in this recipe.

  • Mayonnaise – Use your favorite mayonnaise to make the creamy sauce.
  • Apple cider vinegar – this adds a little tang to the sauce.
  • Paprika – Use ground paprika to add some depth to the sauce.
  • Salt – Use kosher salt for the best results.

Other optional ingredients you can add:

  • onion powder or garlic powder for added flavor
  • mustard seeds for added texture
  • pinch of cayenne pepper for a little kick
