Confession time: I don't like cranberries... But I love cranberry beverages! Cranberry juice, cranberry mimosas, cranberry Moscow mules, cranberry margaritas – all delicious! So what would make them each even MORE delicious and MORE holiday-festive? Combining two of these delightful drinks, of course! Introducing: the Cranberry Moscow Mule Margarita.
Cranberry Moscow Mule Margaritas
As you know from the last Mixology Monday, I'm a huge fan of Moscow Mules. I love the combo of ginger beer with vodka.
That said, I also love margaritas, so why not make a mule cocktail with tequila instead of vodka?
The Hornitos 100% pure agave Añejo tequila is an ideal tequila to use in this cocktail recipe. It's aged for one to three years in American oak barrels and has the deepest, richest, almost toasted vanilla flavor of all tequilas I've tasted so far.
I also love that it's a little unexpected. A margarita-inspired cocktail during the cold winter holidays and not just for summer sipping? Heck yes!
The orange, cranberry, and cinnamon simple syrup add a festive flavor to this Mule-Rita. You'll notice I didn't give you exact measurements for the ginger beer. That's because you should put in as much as you want. Really. I love ginger beer, so I filled my glass almost to the top. If you want more of the true tequila taste, then add less ginger beer and/or less simple syrup.
Make these at your upcoming holiday soiree and spice up the conversation. These Cranberry Moscow Mule Margaritas will definitely help you have #NotJustAnyHoliday!
Cheers, adventurous friends!

Thanks to Hornitos Tequila for sponsoring social media promotions of this post. I was not required to write an accompanying blog post or create a recipe, but I did because it really is a fabulous tequila and I was so excited to use it to create a deliciously different holiday cocktail! All opinions, photos, recipes are, as always, my own.

YUM! I love how you combined the margarita with the moscow mule and the holiday twist is just the cherry (well, cranberry) on top! I can't wait to try this. Yet another reason to get myself some moscow mule mugs.

Could you whip up a pitcher of these. I'll be right over. :-) Seriously, I keep Bundeburg ginger beer on hand at all times. It's so gingery hot that it hurts to drink it. Can't wait to make this drink.

I love cranberries so much, I've been known to say that anything can be improved with the addition of dried cranberries. Except maybe a cocktail.... this looks perfect as is.
