1cupold-fashioned oats (also known as rolled oats)
¼cupcreamy peanut butter
1cupunsweetened applesauce
1large egg, lightly beaten and divided
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, oats, peanut butter, applesauce, and all but 1 Tablespoon of the egg (place the 1 Tablespoon of egg in a small bowl and set aside).
Once the ingredients are well combined, break off a ball about 2 to 3 Tablespoons full then roll into a thin log about 9 to 10 inches long. Form a pretzel (see step-by-step photos in the post). Place pretzel dog treat onto the prepared baking sheet and repeat until you have used up all of the dough. You should have about 10 pretzel dog treats total.
Using a pastry brush, brush each pretzel dog treat with the remaining egg.
Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes.
