If desired, spray the air fryer basket or trays with cooking spray (see notes).
Preheat air fryer at 400°F for 2 minutes. Add the frozen hash brown patties. Air fry at 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking, until the hash browns reach your desired level of crispness.
Notes
Air Fryers: every air fryer is different, and you may need to adjust the cooking time depending on your air fryer. This recipe has been tested using the Ninja Foodi 10-quart Dual Zone Air Fryer. Cooking spray: With air fryers, you should use a non-aerosol spray; the aerosol sprays like classic PAM spray contain harmful chemicals that can break down the non-stick materials of your air fryer. Use a non-aerosol avocado oil spray, grapeseed oil spray, or even olive oil spray (at temps below 425°F). Storage: Allow leftover hash browns to cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 or 4 days. Reheating hash brown patties: Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 4 to 5 minutes, until the hash browns are warm and crisp again.
